From our modest beginnings in 2010, Nomadic Roots has developed into a unique gathering unlike any other; and this year, there is no holding back. We have locked in some amazing headliners, and as always collected a slew of top notch local talent that is sure to keep you dancing all weekend long.

The festival is a three day event starting Thursday June 28th. Show up Thursday, set up camp, and get up with the get down all weekend long.

This year we will have: two performing spaces, each stacked with incredible music; and a myriad of performing artists, to include: Fire performers, Live painters, Muralists, Video Mixers, and Artful Lighting design.

Check out the other tabs for more information about our Lineup, Venue, and Ticketing. We look forward to an amazing event, and we hope to see you all there!

Wise Productions is proud to announce its collaboration with The Party Liberation Front (PLF) for this year's event!

PLF is a group of: fire & circus art performers, DJs, visual artists, dancers, musicians, poets, cooks, gardeners and genuine citizens of the world. Their mission is to nurture a community based on creativity, celebration, inclusion, respect, inspiration, and positivity.

While embracing the 10 principles of Burning Man, they constantly strive to create an atmosphere that can be appreciated by all who care to open their minds to something outside the box. Be prepared to shake your rumps and make fun things.

PLF will be bringing a lot to the festival this year they, are hosting our side stage and, will be throwing down a full-on audio visual experience that will explore the limits of our combined creative potential. As always, you can expect these guys to be bringing with them, a slew of creative talents and installs designed to entertain and enlighten.

Nomadic Roots Festival will again be held at the beautiful Cove Campground in Gore, Virginia.

The Cove, which is made up of several thousand acres of gorgeous wilderness, is generally a wonderful place to BE. Located on the property are three large spring-fed lakes, a handful of day hikes for those interested. Amenities include hot showers, restroom facilities, food vendors, and more.

The campground is located near the intersection of 66 and 81 in beautiful Frederick County. Check it out on Google Maps to plan your route.

We are grateful to have access to such a wonderful venue and we hope that you are as well. In order to respect the space we have a few guidelines that we ask you follow:

This is a three-day festival so you are encouraged to come and camp out for the weekend, it's a beautiful spot and you will enjoy yourself.

Respect Thyself, Respect Others, Respect Nature, Respect Life.

Ticketing FAQ:

Why do you use PayPal?

The reason why we use PayPal is to cut down on cost to festival patrons. Other ticketing services will charge well over $5 for the same service PayPal can provide for much less.

Will I get a confirmation email?

PayPal should send you an email telling you that you have submitted a payment to Wise Productions LLC. We keep records of our ticket purchasers saved in three separate locations and update each of these lists daily. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your order was received.

So you will not be mailing tickets?

Correct. Will-call only. We collect your address only so we may cross-reference it with your photo ID upon your arrival to the event.

What should I bring with me to be sure I get through the gate?

All you will need is a photo ID. Please print a copy of your receipt so you may have physical proof of purchase, however, it will not be required.

What if someone else purchases the ticket for me?

Have them enter your full name in the field provided. That way we will know who is to receive the ticket.

Multiple Tickets?

If you are purchasing multiple tickets and will not be arriving with the people you are purchasing them for, please enter each guest's name in the provided field (on the PayPal site) separated by commas.

All sales are final. Thank you for supporting a local grassroots event! You are great!
