The second annual Nomadic Roots Festival will be held at the beautiful Cove Campground in Gore, Virginia. The cove is made up of several thousand acres of gorgeous wilderness, and is generally a wonderful place to BE. Located on the property are three large spring fed lakes, and a handful of day hikes to enjoy, hot showers, and a sweet music festival. This venue has hosted many wonderful events over the years, we are very pleased to join the ranks, and are excited to see what we can do with the space.

The campground is located near the intersection of 66 and 81 in beautiful Winchester County. Check it out on Google Maps to plan your route.

We are grateful to have access to such a wonderful venue and we hope that you are as well. In order to respect the space we have a few guidelines that we ask you follow:

• Trash and recycling receptacles will be present and easily accessible so we ask that you take full advantage of them.
• No glass containers will be permitted in the festival area.
• Please respect the restrooms.
• Persons under the age of 18 will be required to have a guardian present.
• No open fires or fireworks. We will provide.
• Please be conscious of cigarette butts. They are litter and can start fires. Both of which are bad.
• There will be no lifeguard present at the lake, so if you are to swim you do so at your own risk.
• We will provide water and there will be food vending. But we ask that you come prepared.
• You are responsible for your actions, and you will be escorted off the property if we feel as though you are a danger to yourself, guests, artists, or staff.
• Dogs are allowed at the festival but must be well-behaved, so as to not cause problems. If your pooch decides to do business in the festival area you will be required to scoop the poop.

This is a three day festival so you are encouraged to come and camp out for the weekend, it’s a beautiful spot and you will enjoy yourself; also, this is a family-oriented event and we encourage you to bring your whole crew out to enjoy our festival.

The parking lot is large and it will be easy to get in and out. We will assist as best as we can in moving your gear to the festival area but be prepared for a little bit of lugging to get it to your spot.

The event pass does not cover your camping fee. The Cove Campground will charge for camping based on when you show up: $35.00/person for 3 nights, or $25.00/person for 2 nights, etc. Be prepared to pay cash for camping as there will be no way to pay the camping fee ahead of time.

We will not be offering day passes to the event, the camping fee may get broken down if you show up Saturday but you will be charged the full price for admission to the event.

Here at Nomadic Roots we rely on our local community of music enthusiasts to help us with putting on the festival. We need help with just about every aspect of the fest, from beginning to end.
